Time:
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
Come to downtown Pullman on Friday, July 1, between 5 and 7 p.m. for a self-paced walking tour sponsored by the city’s Historic Preservation Commission. Downtown revitalization is the theme of this year’s tour; participants will appreciate the history of buildings and their layers of community significance, including newer adaptive reuses and decorative murals. The tour will begin at the Pullman Depot Heritage Center, located at 330 N Grand Avenue, and will conclude at Hotel McCoy. Participants will be provided with walking tour maps. Members of the Historic Preservation Commission will be posted at selected locations downtown to provide interpretive information at tour stops. Please arrive for the tour wearing comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing no later than 6:30 p.m. It will take at least half an hour to complete the tour. Join the Historic Preservation Commission for this fascinating glimpse into our city’s past and future!
