Event Description:
The LWV of Pullman and Whitman County’s Third Annual Visual Arts Competition Reception will be held on Saturday, April 20 at 2:00p.m. at Neill Public Library. All artists, their families, and the public are invited to attend. All of the artists will be recognized and the winners will receive their prizes. This civics education competition is designed to encourage understanding of and participation in government. Students in grades 3-12 in Whitman County, WA, submitted artwork reflecting the 2024 theme of “Why Does Voting Matter?” The competition launched on Presidents Day, February 20, and students had until March 31st to submit their artwork. Come and see the 53 creative pieces of artwork showing why voting matters and support our young artists. They are our future voters.
